Vishakapatnam - beautifully clean city with hills and beaches. Airport is just 1KM from the main N.A.D. junction where you can head to any direction and location like Araku Valley, Beach, Hydearabd, Bhuvaneswar, Kolkata... FYI - All cab pick ups are available near Coffee House outside airport. Since our main agenda was to attend wedding, but being in a new city we had to sneak out at a point ;) and Kailasagiri Hill top was our destination considering the time constraint. I was impressed with the transport and people trying to help you with directions. You get share autos to almost anywhere. There are neat classy metro city buses as an option. Share autos - 5/- to 20/- depending on the distance. You can get buses or share autos to Maddelapalem, from this junction you will have to again change auto or bus towards Kailasagiri. Its beside the beach so I believe perfect destination for a short hop over in the city. There is a mall right at Maddelapalem junction with Inox

I was done backpacking for this season - freakin hot summers. But my sweetheart friends thought of a trip only in this season of all. As we were six and for obvious climatic reasons, we booked ZOOM Car from Bangalore. Started around 11 AM from Silk Board expecting the crazy Mysore road traffic on a Friday. On the way our Pitstop was the Tibetan Settlement - Bylakuppe . After China captured Tibet, Tibetians are staying in such settlements here and there. You can visit one Monastery to the left after Camp 1 which will give you ultimate peaceful experience, instead of visiting Golden Temple which has become super commercial and crowded. Peaceful Monastery left to Camp 1 Aditya trying his best at Golden Temple I : Why there are so many Tibetians gathered here and everyone seems to be praying. Tibetan Guy: Our Grandmother has come and they are all here to pray for their people and their country. The grandmother and Dalai lama will be heading to US to ask for help. W
